Classic Gold ring, designed and crafted Sydney, set with superfine 10mm round cut Garnet of best deep wine-red.
The design was inspired by an image of a somewhat battered gold ring of the Roman era of some 2000 years back, hence the “Classic Gold” name.
The Garnet is professionally set in Sydney, and the 9ct Gold setting, handcrafted in Sydney especially for this gemstone, is itself very solid. The last image in above image gallery gives a good picture of just quite how solid is the setting wall.
While the 9ct Gold ring has been recently crafted, early in the year 2026, the 10mm round superfine Garnet is old stock, purchased in Jaipur Rajasthan in the mid to late 1980s. The Garnet gemstone itself is of Indian origin, and Jaipur is where it was cut, but to source this sort of quality these days in Jaipur is difficult, and extremely difficult anywhere outside of Jaipur, for the modern material too often simply lacks the clean transparency and sharpness of colour of the old stock.
