4-Chain Antique Silver Albertina, handmade around 1880 for an English Victorian lady for the purpose of securing her precious watch to her clothing, serving the same purpose that the Albert chain did for men of that period, but, being aimed at a female market, considerably more fancy and altogether more pretty than the Albert.
The above 4-Chain Antique Silver Albertina is a very good example of its type, with finely hand-engraved scalloped slider, two fancy end chain caps, a twist bar and a tassel, all in excellent condition.
The Albertina has been shortened a little to create a lovely, interesting Silver bracelet, shortened to 20cms
