Natural Yellow Tourmaline, cut cabochon, with natural eye-visible inclusions, interesting. Tourmaline became known in Europe only around the 1500s when quantities of it in crystal form started to come in from Ceylon, Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is probably still the biggest producer of the gemstone, and indeed Sri Lanka is the source of this gemstone.
Tourmaline is known for its range of colours, particularly those in the green, yellow, pink spectrum. Pink Tourmaline is possibly the best known of all Tourmaline colours.
