Old Polished Tusk section, walrus, come across in a selection of old scrimshaw items found in a curio shop in the old part of Oamur township, South  Island, New Zealand, dating back to pre-WW11. The piece was obviously prepared for scrimshaw, but was never worked.
The above old polished tusk section required a re-polish; a hole was carefully drilled and a good looking Silver bail handcrafted for it and neatly riveted in place,  nice work done in Sydney.
The last image above, showing the Silver stamp, is of the rear of the piece, slightly different, of  course, but also very attractive.
