Gemstone Blend: all sorts of lovely polished sem-precious gemstone beads cleverly put together here in Sydney, a 63cms strand, symmetrical in whole, slightly oddball, slightly random in the bead placement but well-balanced. Of course, creating a strand such as this requires considerably more concentration than creating the normal bead necklace.
In the mix: green striated Malachite, deep blue Afghani Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise, Carnelian, Tiger Eye, and eleven lovely deep orange gem-quality Corals.
The beads are strung on tiger tail, plastic coated wire; very strong, but if kinked, the kink is difficult to remove. Best, when not worn, to be simply laid out flat somewhere, coiled or whatever, but not stuck willy-nilly somewhere where it might get squashed.
