Jasper Carnelian. These two gemstones are high grade types of Agate, falling into the Chalcedony family of crystals, along with, for example, Onyx and green Aventurine and jade-green Chrysoprase and the wonderfully named Bloodstone, so-called for its flecks of reddish Jasper in a solid green base.
All these gemstones have been cut and fashioned into artefacts and jewellery for millenia, and have never, over thousands of years, not been appreciated and valued.
In the above bracelet only the two opaque, ovoid-shaped solid orange beads are Jasper, all the rest, including the large darkish round centre-bead, are Carnelian. Carnelian, along with the black Onyx, are today probably the best-known of all the Chalcedony gemstones.
