Note the fineness of the Gold wire work, worked back around itself three times each side of each of the 69 “Tiniest Pearls”.
The manual dexterity, the skill and concentration required, the sheer repetitive labour involved in creating this simple elegant jewel, is noteworthy.
The total weight of the above Pearl and Gold link chain necklace is 4.5 grams. As of February 2025 the raw cost of the materials used, the 9ct Gold (as a blob of Gold, before being made into Gold wire and Gold rings) and the 69 Pearls, before labour and GST, constitutes almost 50% of the end on-site price above, before any making and before GST.
