Emerald 4x2mm baguette cut, a fine gemstone of excellent colour, unmistakably Emerald green.

In concept, this is a simple enough gemstone ring design, nothing too complicated, but it requires considerable bench skill to create from scratch, by hand, from a block of Silver and granules of Gold, a piece of jewellery perfection such as the above ring, the 18ct Gold blocks exactly worked to allow the expert gemstone setter to set and properly fix the Emerald in its place, wedged in the two blocks of solid Gold; it is an art.
The Silver band, again handcrafted, is, in its solidity, profile and proportions, perfect.

Just over 1 gram of solid 18ct Gold used in the creation of the setting for the Emerald 4x2mm baguette. The Sydney-handcrafting of the ring in preparation for the work of the gemstone setter involved a little under five hours of bench work.
