Squared Emerald, solid 9ct White Gold earstuds.
In the world of jewellery, the round form and the oval form outsell all else. The square form probably sells least of all. However, the square is elemental, with its own appeal, its own gravity. Art Deco, the consciously clever reaction to outrageously ornamental late Hapsburg design, took the square and its elongation, the rectangle, as basic elements of its form.
The above Squared Emerald form, like a flat-topped pyramid, is a neat, smart setting for a square-cut gemstone.
Note the clear plastic plugs on the earstud posts in the last image of the image gallery above. These little plastic post plugs work, and cost practically nothing compared to the imported 9ct White Gold post “butterfly” clips. Should a customer choose the little plastic post plugs rather than the 9ct Gold “butterfly” clips, the price of these Emerald earstuds would drop by $65.
