9ctGold Sydney Handmade Ring, set with fine Lapis Lazuli, a natural high-quality gemstone from the ancient mines of Nth-east Afghanistan.
The buff-polished Lapis in the above ring has a few small pyrites inclusions, characteristic of Afghani Lapis, and is of a very true deep blue, the colour known as “ultramarine”. This gemstone has been appreciated since antiquity.
As fine as the above Lapis Lazuli gemstone is, it is not a particularly expensive gemstone, and its value in the above 9ctGold Sydney handmade ring is only a fraction of the full cost of this ring. 4grams of 9ctGold metal were used in the making of the ring, and the actual making took over two hours at the bench, and these two components make up by far the greatest part of its cost.
Basically, this is a ring for someone who likes Gold, who likes the fact that it is handmade in Sydney, and who appreciates the look of AGrade Lapis in Gold.
Please note: the true deep blue of AGrade Lapis Lazuli can be difficult to capture in an image; the images on site for the above do not quite do justice to the gemstone, for it is more vibrant a blue than has been here captured.
