9ctGold Sydney Handmade Ring, set with fine Lapis Lazuli, a natural high-quality gemstone from the ancient mines of Nth-east Afghanistan.
The buff-polished Lapis in the above ring has a few small pyrites inclusions, characteristic of Afghani Lapis, and is of a very true deep blue, the colour known as “ultramarine”. This gemstone has been appreciated since antiquity.
The above Lapis Lazuli gemstone is an excellent example of superfine Lapis Lazuli colour, the “ultramarine” colour that only Lapis displays. 4grams of 9ctGold metal used in the making of the ring, and over two hours concentrated work at the bench.
The last image in above image gallery shows a rear view of the above Sydney-handcrafted ring, showing the solidity of its construction.
Please note: the true deep blue of AGrade Lapis Lazuli can be difficult to capture in an image; the images on site for the above do not quite do justice to the gemstone, for it is more vibrant a blue than has been here captured.
