42 Garnets: the Garnet crystal family is complex; these fine little translucent gemstones, of a charming pinkish-red, very well matched, are of the Almandine Garnet variety, characterized by wine-red colours, from pale to dark. These little gemstones are old stock, of a clearness, a translucency, now difficult to source; most Almandine Garnets on offer these days in the 2020s, are murky, simply not beautifully clear.
Note the Silver wire work involved in the making of this strand: this can not be produced by machine, it must be handcrafted. Nice work. It looks simple, and it is, but few bench jewellers have the meditative patience to create such a repetitive and simple form.
