There are now, as of early 2023, few top grade Australian bench jewellers who will handmake a ring of this complexity; the preferred method these days is CAD, Computer Assisted Design, where drawings (perhaps two or three) are made of the desired design and presented to one of the large refineries possessing the expensive imported CAD machinery, along with detailed measurements.
The CAD machinery, once the data is fed in, carves the required form from a single block of the designated metal, through a programmed laser bombardment. The product, if it is all in the same metal, will have no joins, no solderings. It is then cleaned up, gemstones set, finished.
