Silver Coral & Pearl bracelet. The Silver “cable” chain linkage is quite sturdy, but fine, around 2mm width, each link .5mm thick, just allowing for sufficient articulation in the beads’ .5mm thick secure Silver wiring.
Coral and Pearl is always a lovely combination, especially when the Coral is of such a delicate pink shade as the above gemstones. This soft pink is not the most valuable or rare of Gemstone Coral colours (blood red is the rarest and most costly of Gemstone Coral colours), but it was definitely one of the most favoured Coral colours in the late 1800s of Victorian England, when the popularity of gemstone Coral was at its highest ever, historically. (Interesting to note that gemstone Coral has been highly appreciated in South India for a very long time, but that the most favoured colour in that part of the world is an orange-to-reddish hue.)
The little baroque Pearls, known as “seed” pearls, are of Chinese origin and are freshwater, cultured without a nucleus, or core.
The above Silver Coral & Pearl bracelet was created in Sydney, with all ten pretty gemstones securely attached to the Silver chain with hand-worked Silver wire, work that can only be done by hand.
