Lapis Lazuli Gemstone necklace of handcut “button”-shaped beads, the Lapis well-matched in fine deep blue colour, the colour natural and untreated. The origin of this Lapis Lazuli Gemstone is Afghanistan, in the far north-west of that country where the fabled gemstone rock has been mined since antiquity.
Of the ten Gold bead spacers throughout the necklace, the four around the front and the two small beads near the clasp are of 14ct Gold, the other four of 9ct Gold. The end rings and spring clasp are of 9ct Gold.
The above Lapis gemstone necklace has been professionally strung in Sydney, on multi-strand silk and knotted each bead. This sort of AGrade stranding allows for a good necklace fall, especially for a strand of some weight, as the above is at 54 grams.
