The above 6-6grams Handmade chain is a good example of the simplicity in styling and handcraftsmanship espoused in the Arts and Crafts movement. Deceptively simple, granulated double-ring links are separated by three articulated plain links consisting of two slightly oval flat-profiled links joined by a smaller round link; this sequence follows the whole length of the chain. Needless to say, no competent bench jeweller in Australia would give the time, skill and patience to re-creating a chain necklace such as the above.
