20cms Silver Snake chain bracelet. This type of Silver chain has been handcrafted in India since antiquity; woven with Silver wire, in its semi-finished state it is hollow; then begins the process of drawing it down through a series of draw plates until finally it is simply a solid mass of compressed Silver wire.
Since at least the 1960s this chain has been made in fairly low-grade Silver of approx 65% Silver content by a few firms in India, and has always  been difficult to source in Sterling Silver (92.5% Silver content). The above bracelet was crafted in Jaipur Rajasthan, nth-west India.
