Cut Emerald bead necklace, the beads graduated from approx 4.8mm in the centre to 2.5mm at the ends. The beads have been cut in Jaipur Rajasthan India, one of India’s major gemstone cities. The Emerald material itself had its origin in Zambia, East Africa, a major world source for this rare and valuable gemstone.
The twelve little Gold spacers throughout, 9ct Gold London-made, add a very pretty touch.
The necklace end rings and spring clasp are of 9ct Gold; the end rings are handmade Sydney, the spring clasp imported from Italy.
The necklace is stranded professionally in Sydney, on tiger-tail, a plastic-coated wire which is quite strong and also gives the strand a fine round swoop when worn.
