Typical Tribal Silver & Enamel Berber pendant, from the Anti Atlas Mountain area of south-west Morocco, an old piece dating to the mid 1900s or a little later. Completely handcrafted, the design is very traditional and the colour palette of the enamelling considerably more muted than that used in the more modern Silver and Enamel work of the region.
Berber tribes have occupied parts of the Maghreb of North Africa – the Atlas Mountains, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya – since antiquity.
