Superior Handmade Silver ring, simply styled and cleanly crafted. Doubtless a ring such as this, elemental in its way though very elegant, could be machine-cast from a wax model, and doubtless would be were it made in Australia, where the cost of labour alone would amount to more than the total above site price, but it is satisfying to know one is wearing a ring completely hand-worked.
The above Superior Handmade Silver ring, a well-balanced form created purely to showcase a gorgeous gemstone, was fashioned by hand in Kathmandu, home to a number of highly-skilled Silversmith families.
The 8x6mm facet cut wine-red Garnet is of the finest quality, translucent, of excellent clarity and brightness, a vivid, lively example of the Almandine type of the complex Garnet crystal family. This fine gemstone was sourced in Jaipur, Rajasthan, west India, over two decades ago. Quality such as this, with such clarity and such liveliness and depth of colour, has become rare, difficult to source; too often now, in the mid 2020s, cut Almandine Garnets are simply just that touch more murky, the wine-red colour there, but not vivid, not bright.
