Sea Blue Aquamarine, hexagonal cut. Aquamarine is a semi-precious gemstone of the Beryl crystal family, the crystal family that also includes Emerald, one of the precious gemstones (along with Ruby and Sapphire and Diamond).
Note the natural inclusions in the above Sea Blue Aquamarine; they are profuse. Emerald gemstone is known for its profusion of natural inclusions, such that a characteristic of that gemstone is the French word “jardin”, “garden” in English. It is indeed almost impossible to obtain Emerald without inclusions, totally clean and clear. In the case of Aquamarine, however, it is certainly possible to source the gemstone free of inclusions, and that is what is normally seen in jewellery, especially in Gold jewellery.
Interesting, then, to see a bead gemstone such as the above, of excellent characteristic natural sea-blue translucency,  that also exhibits such a profusion of natural inclusions.
