Ruby Deep Red. Natural Ruby gemstones, not man-made, African origin, from Madagaskar. Well-matched and at 3.5mm round and almost a half carat in the two, quite a good size.
These natural Ruby gemstones would have been heat-treated; the vast bulk of all Rubies, way over 90% of all Rubies, are heat-treated, to enhance clarity and colour. Ruby is a crystal that is naturally, and usually, included, and careful heat treatment can eliminate or mute some of these inclusions to create a cleaner, better coloured gemstone.
The result of proper administration of heat treatment to Rubies is permanent.
