Pierced Yellow Gold ring set with six round Brilliant White Diamonds, created and crafted in Sydney. The design concept for the above 9ct Pierced Yellow Gold ring came from a Victorian English Gold band of similar dimensions and similar open floral scrolling form, with no gemstone settings. The 3.5mm width of the band allowed for the creation of sturdy little bezel settings for 1.70 to 1.75mm round gemstones at regular intervals around the circumference, six such settings; this gemstone size usually posing no problem in Sydney in the sourcing of matching sets of six.
The six Diamonds are perfectly matched: all 1.7mm round white Brilliant cut, 2pts each (12pt or .12ct the six), all G to H colour and SI clarity. (Note: round white Brilliant cut Diamonds up to 3pts are classified as “smalls” in the trade, and “smalls” are not part of the range of man-made Diamonds.)
As is evident in the images for the above Pierced Rose Gold ring, the band is quite solid, not hollowed out at all at the rear.
Note: the ring has a plain, un-pierced section to allow for ease in re-sizing.
