Oval Iolite, 8x6mm cut oval of AGrade colour and clarity. Iolite is a pleochroic gemstone, meaning it shows two or three colours, depending on the light, violet and blue and wheaten. This particular Oval Iolite tends to show a lovely lilac in daylight, and more a blueish to violet in room light. Iolite can be mistaken for Sapphire, hence the name “Water Sapphire” it is sometimes given.
