Opaque Yellow Tibetan Amber centrebead in a necklace of handcut old Sth Indian gemstone Corals, natural seed Pearls, and old Tribal red and blue hand-blown glass. The only main ingredient of this Sydney creation not old is the seed Pearl component; the oldest by far are the little semi-transparent paler blue glass beads like the two flanking the opaque yellow Tibetan Amber; these are excavated beads from south Java and date back hundreds of years.
The twenty orange-red gem quality Sth Indian Corals were handcut around the mid 1900s, and the bright red small glass, sourced from a traditional multi-strand glass bead necklace of Nagaland, would have been created in around the same period. The Tibetan Amber is older, probably going back to the early 1900s.
This opaque yellow Amber has its source in the Baltic Sea of North Europe.
There are eight handmade granulated Silver beads, and the end rings/spring clasp are Silver, but Note: the 2.5mm beads flanking the old opaque Tibetan Amber are London-made 9ct Gold.
