44cms necklace length, the finished Gold necklace 4.4grams in weight; the small handcut Spinel beads approx 4.5×2.5mm dimensions.

Up to the 18th century pink and red Spinel were thought to be Ruby gemstones. The “Black Prince’s Ruby” and the “Timur Ruby” are in fact Spinel.
