Handmade Chain Silver Long Links. The linkage of the above Silver chain is very unusual, and very elegant. Each link consists of two, perhaps three,  components separately constructed and then joined together through high heat and solder, cleanly and neatly, requiring quite a degree of skill and care, and, of course, time.
The basic of the link is a 12mm slim squared block of Silver, of 1.5mm squared profile, with the edges of two opposite corners flattened somewhat with filing.
The other component is .6mm rounded Silver wire soldered to the two flattened edges of the slim 12mm long Silver block, overlapping the ends of the blocks and soldered closed to create the connectors. Very elegant, indeed.
The chain is probably northern European, pre-mid 1900s.
The weight of the above chain is 10.4grams. Priced at $145 makes it, gram for gram, as expensive as an English Silver antique chain.
