Emerald Marquise cut, four natural matched Emeralds of strong vibrant, green.
The Regency period of England, late 1700s to around mid 1800s, was marked by a loosening of more strict codes, in manners but also in matters of art, in architecture, in painting, and in jewellery. Jewellery designs became less formal, less severe, at the same time that techniques of production and gem-cutting were growing ever more sophisticated.
The design of this lovely little precious ring is influenced by ring jewellery design of that era, pretty, a little fancy, and not subdued.
