Crossed Vs, Antique 9ct Gold ring, Victorian English. Its hallmarks include the “9” and “375” for 9ct Gold, the “Anchor” symbol for the assay offices of Birmingham, and a date letter stamp in a square box with cut corners which, though a little difficult to exactly decipher, looks most like the “J” of the year 1858.
Interesting hand-engraving: the “Crossed Vs” motif is repeated five times around the band, and is reminiscent of masonic design.
