Classic Tribal Old Silver hoops. 1940s/1950s, from Gujerat, a fertile well-watered agricultural state of West India that has provided good livings for rural Tribals over thousands of years. Gujerat has a long history of Silver jewellery making, for Silver and land are the two pillars of wealth in rural India, and it shows not only in the quality of the workmanship of the artesans, but in the high Silver content of almost all their work.
The above hoops are of high Silver content, minimum 90%. They are completely handcrafted and the level of craftsmanship is high; the intricacy of the Silver wire wrapping upon the hoop base is very interesting.
One of the hoops has lost a segment of that wire work just below its hole, but otherwise they are in excellent original condition.
The thickness of the hoop is 1.5mm, which will be too thick for some, but not all; the weight of each hoop  is 7.2grams, which will be too heavy for some, but not for all.
