Classic Silver Ring crafted in Sydney, using an English early 1900s “dress ring” design, and set with a fine cut oval Citrine Quartz. The original was in 9ct Gold and also set with a coloured Quartz gemstone, a Smokey Quartz, also a cut oval but considerably larger.

Quartz gemstones of different colours make a significant contribution to the gemstone world, for not only are the colours lovely – think of Amethyst, Rose Quartz, “champagne” quartz, and the above Citrine Quartz – the crystal Quartz also takes an excellent polish, and is tough, so tough that it is taken as the benchmark of gemstone hardness; anything less hard than Quartz is considered not so tough and durable, anything more hard very tough and durable.
