Bangle Rose Gold, handmade Sydney. Rose Gold is created through the addition of a certain amount of copper into the mix of alloys used to make whatever gauge or purity of Gold is required, be it 9ct (375), 14ct (585), or 18ct (750).
The Rose Gold in the above “Bangle Rose Gold” is of a particularly lovely, gentle hue, with just the correct amount of copper used in the alloy mix. A touch too much copper results in a rosey colour less subtle, more obvious, almost pinkish.. Interestingly, 18ct Rose Gold is of an altogether darker rose, a more solid, less subtle rosey hue; the higher percentage of yellow in the 18ct Gold simply alters the balance of colour possible with the lesser purity of 9ct Gold.
