Antique Padlock bracelet, handmade “turn of the century” Birmingham England hallmark stamps in year 1909, the plain 3mm curb links alternating with links most finely hand-engraved to give the characteristic “night-and-day” effect of the period.
Excellent condition, never much worn, for the framed “9” Gold standard stamps on every link are still all clear and crisp.
Original padlock with excellent working mechanism, with safety chain. 21cms bracelet length, 24.9grams total bracelet weight.

At $4250 (incl.GST) this Antique Padlock Bracelet is about the same price as an Italian imported 9ct Gold chain of the same weight (incl.GST), and the Italian imported chain would be ordinary and machine-made, not a beautiful, handmade 100 year old chain that would have taken an experienced bench jeweller two days minimum at the bench to create.
