Antique Chester 18ct Gold ring, handmade and set with three Diamonds, all nicely white, in the old cut of the Victorian English period, where the top face of the Diamond presented a much smaller flat surface than the round Diamond cut of post WWI.
Note how clean and modern is the styling of the above Antique Chester ring; it is often enough said in the antique jewellery trade of southern England that Chester Gold work of the late 1800s tends to be somewhat less “Victorian” in styling, and indeed often of a better craftsmanship, than comparable work done in, for example, Birmingham. London Gold work, perhaps more understandably, has a similar reputation.
