Amber Various, Coral & Gold: a rich, satisfying combination. All the Amber beads in this strand, mostly yellow, or “butterscotch”, are from antique English Amber necklaces of the late 1800s, from different strands, of different cuts: three of the yellow Amber beads were parts of the handcut clasps of different necklaces.
The Corals, likewise, are almost all from antique English strands of the same period as the Amber, though the centre bead, a very fine Coral , is an old handcut bead from Sth India.
The Gold in the above necklace also varies; the end ring and spring clasp are 9ct Gold, as are the 2mm round beads used here and there as spacers; the small fine flat granulated spacers are handmade 20ct Gold;  the prominent fluted Gold beads are old handcrafted 20ct from Jaipur Rajasthan, and  are wax-filled, an ancient practice used to mitigate against denting and squashing.
