The design of the above 9ct Gold ring is as simple as can be: a slim round band of a sturdy 1.6mm thickness, a solid cleanly-crafted bezel setting for the 9x7mm Superfine Aquamarine; it could have been cast by machine from a wax model (if the wax model existed, which it does not, and therefore would have necessitated creating, at some expense), and that could have reduced the price a little, but for such a lovely and costly gemstone the preference was for a setting handcrafted specifically for it.

In the above ring there is 2.4 grams of solid 9ct Gold.
