25pt Diamond Solitaire, solid 18ct Gold Sydney-handcrafted.
6.9 grams of 18ct Gold in the above handmade ring. If the ring were tossed in with some other Gold scrap, like some broken Gold chains, or a ring or two mangled in a mishap, and given over to one of Sydney’s reputable metal refineries, for refining back to pure 24ct Gold, payment either in cash or bullion, the 18ct Gold content of the ring, as scrap (forget about the Diamond, forget about the three to four hours of highly-skilled Sydney-handcraftsmanship) as of late 2026, would fetch almost $1000.
Of course, Sydney’s reputable refineries charge a fee for this sort of specialized service, making the scrapping of precious metal in this way worthwhile only when a sufficient quantity is involved, like around 50 grams of Gold (9ct, 14ct, 18ct or whatever).

All the above information is by way of saying that the price of this 25pt Diamond Solitaire, including GST and with the 30% discount, is a very reasonable price. If one can afford it in the first place, then it is a quality ring that may be worn every day for years and years and years, and finally fetch good money as scrap if one so wishes, after the local jeweller has removed the Diamond.
