Ivy Leaf most finely engraved over the front of an English Antique Silver locket, handmade hand-engraved in the latter part of the 19th century; in excellent condition: closing firm and in alignment, hinge in good working order, the interior flanges original.
Note: where originally glass protected the images inside there is now fitted perspex; the glass used in these lockets 150 years ago was extremely thin, extremely delicate, and never lasted.
The Ivy Leaf in Victorian times symbolized fidelity and everlasting commitment.
