Cut Blue Sapphire bead necklace, natural Sapphire material, untreated, unheated, naturally included but of a bright translucency.
The origin of the gemstone material in this Cut Blue Sapphire necklace is said to be Madagascar, an island off the east coast of Africa, known since the late 1900s for the quality and diversity of its gemstones, from fine Sapphire and Ruby through Tourmalines and Aquamarine, to superfine Garnets and brilliant natural Zircon.
The beads of the above Cut Blue Sapphire necklace were fashioned largely by hand in Jaipur Rajhasthan – a machine drill, hand-held, is used for the bead holes, thus creating smooth holes without jags.
The necklace is strung in Sydney on 0.3mm tiger-tail, a plastic coated wire that is not only strong but also nicely retains a neat, curved hang.
