Iona Silver Cross pendant, on one side, in Gaelic, a commemoration of St Columbine, one of the earliest Christian missionaries to get to the British Isles, and on the other the classic Celtic Cross.
The original model for the above Iona Silver Cross pendant came into our hands for repair back in the 1990s, the top ring broken off in a misadventure; it had been purchased on the Island of Iona, and doubtless can still be purchased there these decades later.
This is a very solid pendant, its total weight 10.1 grams. In late 2024 two of these Celtic Cross pendants were in stock, both of which sold over the course of 2025; another, seen above, was created in December 2025. In the twelve months, late 2024 to late 2025, Silver has risen in price well over 150%. What cost $100 to make twelve months back now costs over $200.
The long queues which form every day now down the hill from ABC Bullion in Martin Place are there not just for Gold but also for Silver.
