Silver Dragon ring, a signet-style ring. A 9ct Gold 0.5mm thick plate is fixed to the flat oval top, the ornate classic Chinese Silver Dragon motif then fixed to the 9ct Gold plate.
The above Dragon ring is vintage, from the 1970s. The 375 stamp on the inside of the band would indicate that the ring was crafted in England, for were it from Hong Kong the 0.5mm thick Gold plate would have been of 14ct Gold.
It has been crafted in a small size, K to L. Sizing up or down a size or two would be no problem. Sizing up or down multiple sizes would definitely alter the present roundness of the inside of the band, for the flat oval top of the ring and the substantial thickness of the Silver band where it marries into that flat oval top is basically inflexible.
It is worth noting that though it may seem odd that a ring should be not perfectly round, but rather slightly oval in shape, that lack of roundness cannot be discerned when the ring is worn.
