Small Enamelled Moroccan Silver pendant. The enamelled pendant is only 12mm round, much much smaller than any of the Silver pendants normally crafted by the Berbers of the southern end Anti Atlas Mountains, where this pendant was crafted. (Actually, probably, the above pendant was crafted in Tiznit, the busy seaside town near where the Anti Atlas trails down to the flatlands along the Atlantic coast of Morocco, where a sizeable community of Berber artisans have workshops.)
The above enamelled pendant was, indeed, the top section of an articulated earring, the bottom section being a 22mm round piece of the same design and enamel colours. Separated in Sydney, and with the addition of a couple of old gem-quality Sth Indian Corals, also added in Sydney, it makes for a neat and interesting Silver pendant.
