Six Small Native-cut Corals, from Sth India, where almost every woman, young and old, has at least one strand of Corals, every bead individually hand-cut and polished. Towns in the south of India like Mysore and Bangalore have thriving Coral markets. Coral, however, is another of those gemstones becoming ever more difficult to source, at least at a price feasible, allowing some sort of profit in the resale, which, of course, is the business of a business such as Christopher William, and this is especially so in the case of Corals of good colour and larger size.
Smaller gem-quality Corals, as in the above earrings, are not such a problem to source, and provide a very characteristic warmth of colour.
