The AGrade Garnet gemstone, of the best Almandine clear wine-red quality, is of Indian origin, but of a quality that is now rare. The above fine gemstone was mined and cut in the 1980s; some forty years later such excellent Almandine colour is difficult to source.
The cost of the above Simple Gold ring, however, lies not in the lovely cabochon gemstone but rather in its solid 9ct Gold setting, for it contains 3.3 grams of the precious metal. As of mid-2025 a little rough nugget of 9ct Gold weighing 3.3 grams will cost over $200, and that without any work, gemstone or tax.
