Ruby Elegance in earrings of solid 9ct Gold, created and crafted in Sydney, the gemstone setter presented with the round faces completely flat, plain; the setter then carves out the stars, “bead” setting the Ruby gemstones with four Gold beads, using the Gold from the carving out of the star.
The Rubies are a lovely deep red, well-matched, African origin, .15ct in the pair.
The “Ruby Elegance” is created through simplicity, for the above earrings are very simple in concept: a flat Gold rondel, at 9mm round neither small nor large; well-formed earhooks attached directly to the rounds; gemstones nicely star-set; and importantly, the whole, though light in weight, solidly and cleanly crafted.
