Perfect Roundness in matt, very finely grained Silver earstuds, inset with neat 14ctGold settings for what could easily be quarter carat White Diamonds, but which in fact are 4mm round Cubic Zirconia. (Cubic Zirconia, or CZ, is the original Diamond look-alike, created back in the 1950s and temporarily causing great consternation in the Diamond trading world, stimulating a demand for Diamond testing tools.)
These earrings were created in Warsaw Poland in the late 1990s and are quite simply excellent examples of that old city’s high level of seriously sophisticated design, and of a jewellery workbench craftsmanship embedded in centuries of tradition.
