Pendant Handmade Silver, Lapis Lazuli. This pendant goes back to the 1980s, Ubud, off Monkey Forest Road near the big maidan (or open grassy place), to one of the many small jewellery workshops producing fine handcrafted Silver work.
Originally the centre drop on the pendant was not Lapis, rather a third the same as the other two Silver drops.
Recently re-discovered, the elliptical handcut bead of Lapis Lazuli has been given centre place, and is of particularly fine AGrade natural Afghani dark blue. The Silver work making this hexagonal cut Lapis bead into a pendant also has history, for it was created in Melbourne as one of a pair for earrings back in the early 1990s; one of the pair was lost and this one was only recently re-discovered.
The chain in the image is Sterling Silver, “box” chain 1.5mm square profile, 70mm length. Normal retail price $40 but if included with pendant will add only $25. For that to work on the site’s “Add to cart”, the site price needs to altered to $115.
