Old green Tibetan Turquoise and four beads of equally ancient Tibetan Amber, in a strand of old largish native-cut Corals.
Professionally strung in Sydney, knotted throughout, handmade Silver end rings and hook clasp.
45cms total necklace length, 50 grams total weight.

The very interesting old Turquoise was once a lot more blue; age and wear greens natural Turquoise; its dimensions:17.5x16x5.5mm.

Old Tibetan Turquoise, green through age and much wear against the skin, full of character; when cut from the rock some hundred years ago it would have been blue. Turquoise is one of the two rocks of the gemstone world, the other being Lapis Lazuli, and Turquoise is porous enough to absorb body oils through wear, and gradually darken in colour.
