Old English design: the top face of the above ring is a solid and very faithful Sydney reproduction of the top of an early 1800s 9ct Gold tie-pin, used to secure in place the usually voluminous folds of the neck-cloth worn by a well-dressed man or woman of that period. The original was also bead-set with a Diamond, roughly cut and darkish, but glinting as Diamond does.
A solid 9ct Gold under-structure, created in Sydney, keeps the top strong and sturdy, and allows the band neat joinings.
The half round band is 2.2mm width, 1.4mm thickness, simple and elegant and robust.
