Italian Rosary, Antique Silver and glass, early 1900s. The purplish marbled glass would have been blown in Italy. The piece could be worn as a necklace if so desired, for it is long enough to slip over the head. This old Italian Rosary is in very good condition considering its wear, most evident in the blurred features of the Christ face. One bead only has suffered a knock, and it is still totally intact.
Note: the glass beads are definitely of a more pronounced purple colour in reality than that shown in the above images.
